Day 12 of what inspires me. These are patterns on the roof of a limestone cave @teatrogreco_siracusa. Day 11 of what inspires me. I have no recollection of ever seeing clouds like this before. Just stunning! Any cloud geeks out there? What and why? Day 10 of what inspires me. We visited @valledeitempliofficial today. Hard to know what to post...so much to see, so much to be inspired by. This is a telamon. It beggars belief how these could have been created and placed in the Greek temples. I like the segmented stones, you can just about make out it is a figure. First step to abstraction... Day 9 of what inspires me. Patterns in nature, @millie.cw found this near our swimming beach. I don't know if it's possible to work out what kind of snake it is by the skin it has shed? Happier to see that than the - now larger than before - snake!! Day 8 of what inspires me. We went to @palazzocastelluccio in Noto this evening. So inspired by the beautiful tiles, here's a selection. Day 7 of what inspires me. Just a tree. But it's not just a tree is it? Look at the beautiful shape of the top, like a cloud. And then the trunk, leaning but also still supporting. This was at an old Tuna works #riservadivendicari. Stunning location. And the flamingoes were extraordinary, moving gracefully in the sparkling water. Too far away to photograph. Day 6 of what inspires me. I asked Google lens what this plant is, it tells me Carlina - I'm none the wiser really. I love the spiky bits around the flower and the subdued colours. If anyone knows, let me know! Day 5 of what inspires me. We've moved down the Coast to the south east of Sicily. It's v hot, but we are right by the sea so it's easy to get cool. Apparently this is an Aloe? Beautiful structure. Day 4 of what inspires me. There we were on the cable car going up Etna when I spied this magnificent shed. Now that really does inspire me!
